Agility Foundations
Two-day or One-day Seminars!
Fawn Richards, Owner of 4 My Dogz, LLC, Professional Pet Training Studio, offers one and two day Agility
Foundations seminars, to be held at your training facility!
Format:
Two-day (Saturday and Sunday)
One-day (either weekend day)
10 working spots (recommended)
Unlimited auditor spots (this number may also be limited by the host group)
Each day is approximately 7 hours with a one hour lunch break. (ie: 9am - 4pm)
These seminars are designed for handlers that are beginning to train with a new dog that has not yet begun
agility training, experienced handlers who are starting to train a new dog in agility, or handlers looking to
learn fresh new ides for training their current agility dog.
Agility Foundations teaches all the fundamentals a dog and handler team need to have in place, before they
continue on to contact training and sequence training. Basic handling skills, flat work and footwork, clicker
training, play encouragement, focus and target training, proper exposure to contacts and training of 2 on 2
off contact positioning, impulse control and directional training are only part of the extremely beneficial
foundation training handlers will receive in this seminar.
The two-day or one-day seminars are highly condensed and designed to teach handlers how to train their
dogs the foundations for agility, and how to practice and continue training it at home or at their training
clubs. The topics will be many, and each working team will be kept very busy and active through the
course of each clinic day.
Fees: For a single instructor, the fee is $800 per day plus expenses. The fee for an assistant, if desired, is
an additional $100/day. An assistant is strongly recommended, for the assistant can relieve some of the
burden on club members by helping to monitor activity during breaks, move equipment, answer questions,
and hold/launch dogs during the clinic. If I do not bring an assistant, the club must provide one with agility
knowledge and experience.
Deposit/Cancellation: There is a deposit fee of $200 to secure the dates. A signed contract must then be
returned within 30 days. (If it not received within 30 days, the deposit will be returned and the clinic
canceled.) The deposit will be applied to the clinic fee, which is payable at the conclusion of the clinic. Once
the clinic is booked, you may cancel and receive a full deposit refund until 30 days before the scheduled
date. With less than 30 days notice, the $200 deposit becomes a cancellation fee.
